Our Pastors

Stan Rockafellow (Pastor) - Pastor Stan loves the life God has given him. He and Donna have been married for 50 years and enjoy their five adult children and ten grand children. Together they enjoy cross-country motorcycling and outdoor activities include camping, hunting and fishing. Born in Flint Michigan in 1939, Stan was one of five children. Marrying his high school sweetheart Donna, he served 4 years in the US Navy. After a brief career in Real Estate, he knew that Jesus Christ, his Saviour and Lord was calling him into pastoral ministry. Having attended Eastern Michigan University, Stan received his pastoral training at Detroit Bible College and Midwestern Baptist College and Seminary. The first church he pastored was in Marlette Michigan, then under the Conservative Baptist Home Mission Society he established five new churches, the last being Eliot Baptist, where he has served for the past 25 years.

Nathan Rockafellow (Youth Pastor) - I’ve done a lot of far-out things, and I’ve got a lot of stories to tell, but my life isn’t about all that; it’s about knowing God and growing in Him! The rest of my story is just details…(graduate of Marshwood High School and Lancaster Bible College, cross-country traveler, backyard mechanic, Jeeper, motorcycle bum, Iron Butt Association member, outdoorsman, Rocky fan, Trekkie, Youth Pastor, dog lover, husband and father of two!) I have dedicated my life to serving the Lord and my greatest joy is time spent with my family. My wife Suzanne and I have 2 children, Abi and Ethan.

Jonathan Priddy (Assistant Youth Pastor) - I was born in Maine, where I lived until I was nine, when my family moved to Indiana. I received Christ as my personal Savior when I was seven. I graduated from Clarksville High School having no idea what to do with my life. When my dad suggested that I go to Bible College, I decided to take his advice, and attend for a single semester to learn about God and decide what I would do for a career. I showed up in Maine, and at Eliot Baptist, during the fall of 2003, with a carload of clothes and belongings to attend a single semester at New England Bible College. During my one semester of learning about God, God laid a calling upon my life to go into full time ministry. I then spent the next seven years working full time serving as a youth leader at Eliot, and going to school part time. I left Eliot for a couple of years during my time in school to be a Youth Intern at First Baptist Church of South Portland, until God brought me back to do another internship with Eliot. Finally in May of 2010, I graduated from Bible College with a Bachelor of Science in Bible and Ministry, and shortly after was hired by the church I have grown to love so much. I love the Lord very much, and look forward to a lifetime of serving Him.

Joel Beers (Outreach Pastor) - My short life's journey began just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where I was raised in an incredible Christian home with 6 siblings. On a sports mission trip to the Bahamas as a senior in high school I accepted the Lord into my life as my Lord and Savior. I attended Northland Baptist Bible College in Wisconsin and graduated majoring in Bible and Youth Ministry. God allowed me to serve Him as a Youth Pastor for 2 years in Pennsylvania and 4 years in Florida before bringing me to Eliot, Maine. I am so thankful for the call of ministry on my life and the opportunity daily to show people God's love. My wife Heather and I have 2 children, Ben and Jordyn.

Yves Perodin (Pastor) - God is Awesome!  The story of my life is that God has called me and I am His servant.  Whatever He wants me to do, I desire to follow after Him.  My journey with Him started when I gave my life to Christ at 8 years old.  When I was in junior high I made a decision to go to Bible College and that’s what I did after graduating high school.  I started my studies at Word of Life Bible institute and finished my studies at Lancaster Bible College with a Degree in Bible and General Ministries.  My focus in life is all about Jesus Christ… “To know Him and make Him Known!”  I enjoy tech, sports, watching the stock market, studying scripture and just hanging out. My wife Deleena and I have 3 children; 1 spontaneous daughter and two very energetic twin boys!
